Perhaps I was a bit too harsh the other day because when I tried thinking about something more appropriate to celebrate as our national day I came up blank. We’ve never been occupied or conquered, have we? And we haven’t had any good revolution (let’s not mix “bloodbath” with “revolution”) here either.
