Archived diary for 2001

Monday, 1st January
I had to post something on the first day of the new year. First off, a big thank you to the lady who finally decided to spend new years with "your's truly".
And on that topic, I decided to put toghether another "Kristoffer's Thought on...", and this time about "Being alone, not lonely". It's a return fire for the past weeks "You're not going to spend new years all alone, that's terrible!"-comments. Read it at your own risk.

Wednesday, 3rd January
Still booring at work so I took a couple of hours to convert my "Star Trek Ships"-list to HTML format. Looks a little better now. Any corrections/additions are welcomed! By the way, did I tell you I'm lethal in Trivia Pursuit? :)

Wednesday, 10th January
Still in a holding pattern, work- and personal-wise. I did write down some more thoughts, this time about beauty and how it does matter, although most of us says it doesn't.
Also, I'd like to make a recommendation - "Star Wars: Episode II - The Empire Strikes Backyard". It's a brillantly, hilarious, well-made parodi on a possible story for "Star Wars Episode II". It's about 100 megs, 50 minutes long and there's also an optional "Mockumentary" and "Behind the Scenes". I loved the humor in it - it's the best take on Yoda I've ever seen! And it's pretty well-made too, for a fan-project. Decent f/x and stuff. Check it out, it's well worth the download!

Friday, 12th January
I updated my Natalie Portman-page with 12 wallpapers you can use as a calender (Update: Does no longer exist!). Credit for the pics to Simply Natalie-website. Check 'em out, they are awesome!
Right now I'm saving up money for a huge thing coming up next week. Can't tell you what, it's a hush-hush secret, covert, under-cover classified operation happening :)

Wednesday, 16th January
Did another essay, this time about my views on sexualities. Although I'm very straight, I find it very interesting how other people can just go against natural instinct, their upbringing and social expectations.
Hope I don't offend too many people, and if I'm totally wrong, please, do mail me!
On a personal note - congrats to my sister Amy, it's her birthday today. As usual I'll respect her womanhood and not go into exact age, but it ends with a zero so it is a special birthday.
Congratulations, sis!

Wednesday, 24th January
Ok, so what was that secret op ? As I said, my sister celebrated her X0th birthday last week. And she was quite ticked off that nothing much happened to her. She lives in Scotland, so she didn't expect anyone from over here to come or anything... but we did! Me and my other sister, AC, just showed up on her doorstep on Thursday night and man was she surprised! She didn't know what to say, what to do or anything, and she was shaking for a good 15 minutes off shock! She has four (wonderful) kids to look after so we didn't party that much, only on saturday. Other than that it was a constant beer consumption for me. Over all, it was a great weekend! Well worth it, we've been planning it since august last year. The only bad thing was that we missed our flight back and had to pay an extra $300 to get home, but it was still worth it - just her surprised and shocked face when we walked through the door, magnificent!
Photos are on the way as soon as they are developed!

Thursday, 1st February
Score one for human rights! Yesterday, a committee recommended to the swedish government that gay couples should have the right to adopt. Yeah. Although I'm not gay, I'm still a firm believer in human and equal rights. Read my essay about sexualities if you'd like to know more about my opinions about that.
Jen Hale mailed me yesterday asking me to put up a link to her project. It's a book by Star Trek fans about their ecounters with ST actors. If you wanna submit something, go here.

Monday, 5th February
Things are finally starting to heat up here at work, the project to re-design our homepage and our e-commerce site is well underway. As usual I'm mostly sitting coming up with new designs, ideas and functions to give me even more work while I'm waiting for them to make up their mind.
I did find a couple of minutes to write another essay, this time about my opinions on the death penalty. And I also took the opportunity to mention abortion as well. Read it and mail any comments.

Friday, 16th February
I've recently added another life-philosophy - "it's not what you got, it's what you do with it!"
It was one of those things I blurred out during a conversation last week, but when I think about, I like that philosophy!
What it basically means is "I don't care if you're a millionaire or super intelligent, what have you actually done?" Hope you understand what I mean, difficult to explain it.
Anyway, things are really starting to heat up here. I'm in full throttle programming our new webshop with all problems that includes. So that's why I haven't done any updates lately.
And "we" recently celebrated our first annivarsary over at NP.com. :)

Friday, 2nd March
While re-doing our homepage at work I thought I might as well redesign my own.
So here it it. More basic and easily navigated. Also thought black was a more gentle color.
Not much else happening - except I've gotten another actress interest (I say "another", 'cause Natalie still tops that category!) - Keira Knightley. She's not that famous yet, but she will be!
Also looking forward to this weekend - the Formula 1 seasons kicks off downunder!

Friday 9th Match
I've put up another essay - this one about violence in movies and computer game and how much I hate it being constantly argued as bad.

Monday, 12th March
So that's another weekend that came and went. On friday I did as little as possible (I'm very good at doing nothing for a long time!), on saturday I started off by attending a Stockholm Trekkers "Videoday" but went "home" (=down to Ösmo) to spend the evening and sunday morning with my family. During the videoday, Eden took a couple of pics to show off his digital camera - here's one of me and Eva. This week will be quite eventful for me - today I'm getting a new satellite dish up (so I can see all the Formula 1 races live!), on wednesday I should be getting ADSL (so I can be online 24-7) and to end the week there'll be a F1 race in Malaysia :)

Tuesday, 20th March
I've gotten a new acquaintance, Jasmine Swift. She's editor of a health-food site called "Hair to Toes nutrition". She's not only a Natalie Portman lookalike, and therefor per definition beautiful, but she's also shared some info on what Michelle Forbes has been up to. Thanx, and I've now updated that page.
Other than that - "Schumi" won another Formula 1-race, a very weird one at that but still a win. Yeay :)

Monday, 26th March
This weekend was pretty full with sports, only thing missing was a Formula 1 race, but I guess I have wait until this weekend for that!
I've begun updating my "Voyager Episode reviews" to fit in the new design format, tell me what you think! I've only updated season 3 of the reviews, but I'm working on season 4 as I speak.
I also noticed that the "Origin of ships"-list didn't look good at all in the new design, so I re-did it. Again! Also added the motto from the plaque of the USS Prometheus from Voyager episode "Message in a Bottle".

Tuesday, 27th March
I just got my new site statistics. And once again folks, I got visitors from the ".mil"-domain :) Namely "BU-WCS3-CBUS.NIPR.MIL" and "WCS2-CBUS.NIPR.MIL". How cool am I? :) ("again" meaning I've had some before, even from the Pentagon!)
I've updated my "Voyager Episode reviews" to include all the latest Voyager episodes as well as the next 4. But still in swedish :(

And hey, I got a question - how could Lucas fail to do a good movie with "Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace"? I saw it again last weekend, and AGAIN, I thought it sucked. But now for two new reasons - the "jippi!"-comments that I hadn't heard before. LOL! I mean, the guy couldn't fail to make a good movie! He's got exclusive right to the SW saga, he's got three great actors as well as the best actress in the world, a huge budget and 3 years to produce it - yet he failed. If the second one is even half as bad as this I'm gonna start disliking Lucas!
UPDATE!: Less than 4 hours after writing that, someone made an entry in my guestbook that I should give the guy a break. First off, that person didn't give his/hers e-mail addy so I can't have a civilized discussion. But I think everyone will agree that there's something wrong if I'd rather see a 80 minute flic made by Kevin Smith for less than $40.000 in black and white and almost mono sound, than a $130 million dollar CGI extravaganza like SW Episode I. And besides, this is my page, I get to say and think what I want here!

Wednesday, 28th March
I've updated my Michelle Forbes page with a "Filmography". Thanx to Shana Hall for that!
I seem to have upset people with my dislike for "Star Wars Episode 1". So here is what I'll do:
With every update I'll list a reason I dislike about the movie (BAD). After I run out of bad things, I'll start writing things I like about it (GOOD). I'll be numbering every entry so when all is said and done we'll see which side wins. Might be the GOOD side, I don't know, I'll make the list up as I go. I've also created a special page for this campaign, it also gives some background info. I'll start off with something different than the usual "Jar-Jar sux":

BAD # 1: The pace! This movie is way, way too fast! Granted, I'm not a scriptwriter or moviemaker, but I have seen so many movies and read so many scripts that I dare say it's way too fast. A paus or something in the story would have been welcomed, but instead it just kept plowing through scene after scene, never EVER giving any closure to anything! Too much to do and only 2 1/2 hours to do it in, but I don't know what he could have done differently, which I guess is why I'm not a scriptwriter!

Thursday, 29th March
BAD # 2 : The droids talk. TO EACH OTHER! Do you have any idea the programming it involves creating a verbal interface to put a command into audio. Add to that linguistic skills. And then creating the capacity to de-code a verbal command to an executable one... The interpretation involved will have to have fault tolerance for everything from dialects to noise reduction (they were after all designed for combat!). And they did have a command ship they were linked to. So where was the need for the droids to talk? And why talk to each other? It never made any sense to me! I buy Data in Star Trek being able to talk and understand things, but he's got an AI, and these droids obviously didn't. (if they did, they wouldn't have stopped functioning when the command ship was destroyed)

Friday, March 30th
If you haven't already seen it, head over to StarWars.com and take a look at the new "Making of Episode II Documentary". This is only part I, but I loved it and can't wait for the next!
This weekend looks like it's gonna be a great one! We've got a Formula 1 race from Brazil, and a hockey final, some borrowed DVD and no obligations what so ever to do anything else than just enjoy life!
And speaking of racing, here is today's reason why I don't like "Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace"e; BAD # 3 : The Pod race! I'm a Formula 1 fan. And I'm a special f/x fan. And I like Star Wars. So I should love a computer animated racing sequence in a Star Wars movie? Well, I didn't! As I said earlier, the story is too fast paced and the only time we stop at one place for more than 5 minutes is for this pod race. It's basically a 15 minute CGI extravaganza that serves no purpose! I'm sure two Jedis and a Royal security force could have gotten Anakin out of there in some other (faster) way. And last time I checked, the fastest route from A to B is a straight line. But Anakin goes 500 feet into the air and comes crashing down in front of the other guy?

Monday, April 2nd
I didn't wanna do an update during the weekend to avoid any april fools jokes.
I did however see some newly produced movies. "Red Planet", "Bedazzled" and "The Patriot". And after seeing all of them I came to a frightening conclussion - there are no really, REALLY great movies made anymore! I can't remember the last time I came out of a cinema thinking "I GOTTA SEE THIS AGAIN!". Why don't they make films like "Shawshank Redemption", "Schinders List", "Spaceballs", "Mallrats" and "Contact" anymore. I want good, well written, nice executed movies! I don't sit down to a movie thinking "this is gonna suck", I try to have an open mind. "The patriot" was laughable, just downright annoyingly bad (I got hung up on small things like how badly the lighting was!), should have been some law against exporting that kind of movie. "Red Planet" was ok. For about five minutes when they all of a sudden competed in "hits on my webpage"! I'd be very disappointed if we in 45 years time still have webpages!
Bedazzled was ok, pretty funny, but not that kind of funny that just makes you rolling on the floor screaming at them to stop so you can catch your breath. Those kinds of movies aren't made anymore. Or perhaps they are, I just haven't seen them.
The problem seems to be that most movies today are made for a huge audience to like, not for a small audience to love. Guess that's the price we have to pay for capitalism. Anyway, here comes: BAD # 4 : The chemistry! Oh my god, it hurts looking at Ewan and Liam trying to be best buds! From what I've seen, Ewan is an OK actor that might be great one day. And Liam Neeson is a great actor. But the chemistry between those two were non existent. When I first saw it, I thought they were just two people teamed up for this one mission, but oh no, they were suppose to have that apprentice-master relationship, but that went by me unnoticed! And don't even get me started on the lack of chemistry between Natalie and Jake!!! Ok, I guess I owe you two! BAD # 5 : "Jippiii" ? "Jippiii" ? This is Anakin Skywalker talking, the future bad ass of bad ass movie-villains in history of movie. And he actually uses a word like "Jippiii!" ? He says it when his owner allows him to go out and play or something. Should I do another one? It's too easy!!! BAD # 6 : "Jippiii" ? "Jippiii" ? This is Anakin Skywalker talking, the future bad ass of bad ass movie-villains in history of movie. And he actually uses a word like "Jippiii!" ? He says it again when his mother says it's ok for him to race in that terrible pod race. (this convinced me it wasn't just an improvisation/adlib from Lloyd, but scripted)

Tuesday, April 3rd
Ok, so Schumi didn't win in Brazil, but a fellow scotsman did! Ok, I'm only half scottish, but since there aren't any swedish drivers I guess he'll do :) BAD # 7 : "Are you an angel?" It might be a good pick-up line (haven't tried it though), but seriously, he's 9 and he's already picking up girls, and a queen at that. But OK, I believe in love at first sight, and Anakin might have fell for her right there and then. But what about her? Did she fall for a 9 year old boy right there and then, or did she fall in love later? Don't know about you, but I have a hard time thinking about anyone I knew when they were kids in a romantic way. Anyway, those are questions that'll be answered in Episode II, BUT it still bothered me that you knew the two would get together, get married, have kids and jaddajadda so that ruined anything magical about that part. I quote Weird Al - "Do you see him hitting on the queen, though he's just nine and she's fourteen? Yeah, he's probably gonna marry her".

Thursday, April 5th
Today I feel like a geek :( On the verge of a pathetic geek... Here's the story : 5 years ago, when I had just started working here at "MinDator" I saw one of the sexiest women I'd ever seen. She made me speechless the first few times, but after a while I got to talking to her but everything I said came out the wrong way. But she was really nice, funny and just about perfect which put her in a league way out of my reach! Guess she really must've thought I was a weird guy. Anyway, for three years we worked at the same company and she was a great motivator to get out of bed and even show up here. But two years ago she quit and started working for a competitor of ours. No fun at all. And when I was approached to join that company, she was a huge plus in the equation, but in the end it came down to money so I stayed here. Since then I've only seen her casually, like on the train and so on. But yesterday there was a little kick-off kinda party for a distributor, and she showed up. Still one of the sexiest women I've ever seen, and still made me say all the wrong things. I also found out she's now dating a, what I consider to be, good friend of mine. And to use a 'Grace' (from "Ferris Buellers Day off") quote - "he's a righteous dude!" Also one of the few people from the west coast I really like!
So I do what I usually do - nothing, except wish them the best of luck.
So why does this make me feel like such a geek? Because I'm writing about it on my homepage!!! Duh, I really need to take a lesson in expressing myself in some other way than this :( Sigh... anyway, I've finally got the pics from our trip to Scotland in January! Don't know why, but there isn't any of us when we went to the local pub and when I was introduced to "Aftershock" :) Go to my bio for the pics and story. Also got these bonus photos that was taken here in sweden but on the same reel as the other photos. Here's me being scary and here's me being too cool. And too many beers. Since I won't do any updates for a while, I'll post three bad things in "Star Wars Episode One" today : BAD # 8 : Continuity! Ok, I agree it can't be easy to be in perfect continuity to a movie made in 1977, but he can atleast try. Two big continuity mistakes are ; In "Empire Strikes Back" Yoda says that Luke is too old to be trained, and Obi Wan says Luke is not that much older than Obi Wan when Yoda took it upon him to train Obi Wan. But according to "The Phantom Menace" Qui Gonn trained Obi Wan to become a Jedi, not Yoda. And if Luke/Obi Wan was too old when he was 20, why would Anakin be too old when he was 9 ? BAD # 9 : Destroying beauty! Lucas had Natalie Portman to play the Queen. And he had Keira Knightley play the Queen decoy. Now, both of these women are really, REALLY beutiful! So what does he do when he has two beautiful women like that? He first puts on really weird make-up. Then a funky hairpiece, and weird costumes. And then he also screws up their voices in post production. I can understand he got Natalie for her acting abilities, but why not take advantage of the fact that she's beautiful as well!? BAD # 10 : The noise. Oh, the noise! It may be blaspheme to call John Williams music noise, but in this case it was just too much! Somebody should teach Lucas how powerful silence can be. Take the scene when Anakin leaves his mother, that's one of those scenes where silence would have been better (in my opinion!). But there is always music thumping in the background in this movie, never a silent moment ever! When I watched it at home I had a "low movie watching"-volume (which is "normal volume" in the cinema theaters) and after the movie was over and I turned off the TV and everything became quiet it was just a great feeling to enjoy silence for a while! And I'm normally the guy that loves a good-sound movie!

Wednesday, April 11th
I was wrong. I totally forgot about "Galaxy Quest" when I said todays movies are made for "huge audience to like, not for a small audience to love". GQ was made for a small audience - Trekkers. And we loved it! And about the woman I was talking about earlier, realised this morning she smokes alot. And I couldn't be with a person who is suicidal, could I ? ("as if..."). Anyway, time for "What's bad about Star Wars Episode I": BAD # 11 : The duel! No SW movie would be complete without a good lightsaber fight, and "Episode I" had a pretty big one, 2vs1. But several things in this duel bothers me. First, when the doors opens and Darth Maul stands there with his saber turned off, why doesn't the Queen and her little army shoot him? They have guns, they are about 30 feet away and there are about 20 of them. Instead they wait for the 2 Jedis, who are in the rear, to step forward and take him. Then they fight in the hanger, Maul opens a door into a huge... what? It's a huge place that I don't get what the hell it is? It's suppose to be the power generator, might be, but it's idiotically designed, with small ledges that don't go anywhere, and open energy beams, no floor or roof, just weird. Then they come to a force field? What the hell was that doing there? Stop people from getting to the abyss ofcourse, but in that case, why were they deactivated with regular intervalls. They don't make any sense at all! And about the abyss.. WHAT THA HELL WAS IT DOING THERE? In the middle of the royal castle, just by a hangar is a hole that goes straight down. Why?! W.t.f ?! And for being a Jedi master, Qui-Gon is pretty stupid to run alone into a room without any exits, why not retreat and wait for Obi-Wan, Darth Maul wasn't going anywhere, he was trapped?! Then when Obi-Wan finally gets there and starts swinging around you can clearly see this fight scene is too well trained because reaction comes before the action. (for example, Obi-Wan covers his back with his saber before Darth Maul swings at it). I got the feeling this duel was there just to have a cool lightsaber fight and to kill of a character. BAD # 12 : Lack of strategy. Whoever thought up the fightscenes and battles didn't think tactically. How tactical is it to have the regent's HQ, the main hangar for the Royal Space Force as well as the city's power generator in the same building? The Gun-Guns were suppose to live underwater - why did they chose to have a stand-up surface fight. And why were they so good at it? And the droids didn't breath, so why didn't they use gas? (not lethal gas since that's illegal and immoral, even for an evil army) They also forgot to program the droids with any targetting system at all. And those droids would obviously have been better at an urban-based battle than an open-field one, so why send them away in the middle of nowhere and leave the capitol virtually defenseless? In the opening shot we see atleast 7 bases blockading Naboo, and only one of them controlled the droid army, without any redundancy whatsoever? And I've already mentioned this, but why oh why didn't Qui-Gon retreat and wait for Obi-Wan when Darth Maul was cornered? Hope they think more about this in the arena fight in Episode II ! BAD # 13 : Blasphemy! Many movies have played on simularaties with Jesus to make a character seem extreme in some way. But this is the first time I've ever seen a (serious) movie use the "Immaculate conception"-card. And it didn't work, at all, I laughed really hard when Shmi tried explaining that Anakin didn't have a father.

Thursday, April 12th
Starwars.com has updated their site and added some images from Episode II. And this is Nat with her white skintight outfit, ready to rock and roll. She looks a bit thin, doesn't she? Or did "they" alter the pic a little as they do everything else over att Skywalker ranch? But I still think this next Star Wars movie will be awesome!!!
Anyway, I'm going home to my parents again for the easter so I won't update for a while. Remember, there's F1 race this weekend as well, don't miss it! BAD # 14 : The dialogue! I can't put my finger on it, but the dialogue in this movie was just weird. It all culminated in this comment by Shmi, delivered by Sweden's greatest actress, - "You have brought hope to those who have none". On the page it looks like a good comment, but in the movie it was just weird. Also strange comments like Obi-Wan's "I have a bad feeling about this" when they reach Naboo, when in fact, he should have had that bad feeling at Coruscant since that's where the mischief was (both the Emperor and Darth Maul). Anyway, it was just odd comments like that.

Tuesday, April 17th
So how was your easter? Mine was pretty darn good, one notch from being perfect. If only the right Schumacher would have won the F1 race it would have been perfect. But one weekend at my folks, nice company, nice food, nice everything. There really should be more holidays like this. And I believe there is one coming up in two weeks :) BAD # 15 : Delusion of grandeur! After the success of the original SW movies and the Indy movies Lucas seem to be suffering from some case of delusion of grandeur. He can't do things small and efficient, but has to overdo everything in a big big way. And I'm usually a big supporter of the "accuracy by volume" concept, but things in this movie was just too much. Take the Coruscant landscape - too much stuff, too high buildings. The senate - too big. The hole Maul fell down in - too deep. The droids - too many. And the marketing of this movie? Too big! The production cost of this movie? Too big. The production time of this movie? Too long!
Learn a lesson from the success of Episode IV - bigger and more isn't necessarily better! BAD # 16 : Jar-Jar. 'Nough said. Sean, a friend of a friend, agreed with me and fixed this picture for me :) And to show you I'm a man not afraid to admit his mistakes - I was in error about the second "Jippi!". It was not when he was allowed to race but when his mother said it was OK for him to go to Coruscant and be trained as a Jedi. But it is still annoying!

Wednesday, April 18th
This week started off pretty good - I got my autographed Natalie pic to add to my collection. So now I'm just waiting for my 512k modem to arrive and then I'll always be online at home. Next step is WORLD DOMINATION!!!!.. you think? BAD # 17 : Jake Lloyd. I've never liked kids in movies and TV, they are just too nice, sweet and unreal. Yuck! And this kid symbolizes all of that! The few exceptions is Newt in "Aliens" and Mathilda in "Léon". Although I wish I could give you an example of someone he should have used instead, I can't think of any. But Jake Lloyd was annoying as hell!

Thursday, April 19th
So what am I doing except stomping "Episode I"? Well, over att NP.com we're redoing some sections. Since I have the most time and the best connection to the site I'm going through the archive of video clips. Over 1 Gb of movieclips. Was not fun downloading and then uploading, but it was really fun watching all the clips. Watching clips from her first PR appearences, like Letterman and Conan O'Brien, was a blast! I'll tell you when it's all done so you can go there and download yourself if you'd like. About this site - I've gone through some pages to check for bad spelling. And am I a bad speller or what!? So - PLEASE - when you see something misspelled or anything, let me know. I can take it, and I'll even thank for you for correcting me!
I've heard that my guestbook is pretty much off-line. I wish there was something I could do about it, but since it's a free gustbook service there isn't much I can do :( BAD # 18 : Cheating! As I've said over and over, I'm a pretty big f/x supporter. But I feel f/x should be used as a tool to tell a story. Not used as extensively as Lucas did in TPM (and from what I can tell, even more in "Episode II"!). Rick McCullum have said "every single frame has some digital effect". Isn't that downright cheating? True, it's hard to tell a space saga without the use of f/x, but why do it so extensively?!

Friday, April 20th
All done! The Video-section on NP.com that is. If you have fast internet connection, download some and check them out. I really recommend the old ones from -94 on Letterman & Conan O'Brien! BAD # 19 : Natalie here, Natalie there, Natalie everywhere! During the first hour of this movie I was constantly thinking "where's Natalie, is she the queen, and if she is the queen why is she also over there?!" And now I can't see it without trying to identify if it's Natalie or Keira playing the queen. And that's bad because it distracts me from the movie and the ever so great dialogue.

Monday, April 23rd
And just when we got that video-thing up at NP.com it drained so much bandwidth we had to take it offline. Sorry, it will be back later.
I'm right now messing around in Premiere 6 trying to cut together some of the clips, but it's so damn slow!!
Anyway, this week I'll probably get my 512 kbbit modem so you can always reach me 24-7, the Charlies Angels DVD, I'll see all 4 Star Wars movies in 16:9 format on a digital TV channel, do the laundry and the I'll round it up with a Formula 1 race and the World Championship in Hockey on Sunday. Damn I'm lazy and unproductive! BAD # 20 : How fast is a Jedi? During the battle on the station with the droidekas, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon turbo-escapes out of there. ??? Don't think I've seen this particular Jedi trick before. Anyhow, later when they have just arrived in Theed they are crawling on the second level looking down into the courtyard. They see the Queen and her entourage walking by. Then the walk 5 meter, go around a corner and then look down. All of a sudden they are 20 meters ahead of them. So they jump down and kill and the inept droids. Just have fast are these Jedis!?

Wednesday, April 25th
"Hey, how you doin'?" :) Damn I love women! Aren't they the greatest? BAD # 21 : Bad tech ! I know Star Wars is more towards fiction-fantasy than science-fiction, but I just can't help to criticise it for the lack of technology. When the Bongo looses power, Obi-Wan (who 2 minutes earlier didn't even know what a Bongo was) just rips out two wires, connect them and they got power again? Same thing when Anakins pod-racer brakes down, he just flips a switch and all back to normal. Same thing when R2 is fixing the Royal starship, he just hooks two wires together and they are fit for fighting again. And besides, who places such a cruicial circuit on the outside of a spaceship?! Must've made NASA laugh!

Thursday, April 26th
Not much to say today except - keep having fun folks! BAD # 22 : Was Lord Sidious and Palaptine the same person? I'm usually not slow at getting plot points in movies, but this thing about Lord Sidious (i.e the Emperor) and Senator Palpatine being the same person went totally over my head! Some people knew it before they saw the movie since it's one of these canon-Star Wars history things that you're just suppose to know? Well, I didn't and quite honestly, when are you suppose to get it? If you look at the story and dialogue there's nothing there to hint at it. And if you look it up, you'll see there's a slight height difference between the two characters in the SW.com database, which raises the question - aren't we just suppose to think he is? I got it in the last burial scene when they zoom in on Palpatine, saying "there's more to this character than what meets the eye". Still a weird plot-point!

Friday, April 27th
Time for another long weekend here in sweden. Four days of just doing as little as possible.
I'll be heading out to nowhere (Ösmo) again, after I've rocked Stockholm tonight :)
(won't be much rocking though, just dinner on TGI Fridays. but you never know what can happen afterwards, it is after all friday and the crew I'm going with is not the silent type!) Remember - F1 race in Spain on Sunday. And the Hockey World Championship starts off again in Germany this year. Hope the swedes does better than last year! Since I won't do any updates during the weekend, here comes two "Things I hate About Star Wars - The Phantom Menace": BAD # 23 : Always a bigger fish! DUH! Really, that entire water scene is nice and all, but completely unnecessary. And there was atleast one too many fish-attacks! Btw, they were meant to go through the planet's core? So the core was made out of water? I don't think it's impossible to have a planet core consisting of water, but it sounds like a stretch. BAD # 24 : The humor! Agreed, Lucas isn't famous for being a funny guy. But where was the humor in this movie?! Where were all Han-Solo one-liners? What happened to the jokes?! Jokes like "The negatiations were short" and "Qui-Gon told me to stay in the cockpit, so that's what I'm going to do" was oh so predictable and lame. Slap-stick comedy works, unless it's a CGI character like Jar-Jar. What fun is there in a computer generated character being slapped around? NONE!!!

Thursday, May 3rd
Today I'm depressed. I still haven't gotten my modem. I've been waiting for over 2 years for this 512 kbit internet connection, and now I find it really depressing having to wait another day. If I wasn't such a happy person I'd be sad. But I am happy so cheer up people! BAD # 25 : Midiclorians ? One of the good things about the original trilogi is that it let things like science and stuff go unnoticed, no questions asked and specifications given. And I liked it, I never questioned how the force worked, or how it can be measured. And so Lucas goes and ruins it with the talk about midiclorians. Way to go.

Monday, May 7th
The reason I've been so quiet is because I finally got my new cable-modem to work. So from now I should be online 24-7 with 512kbit connections. "Schweeeet" :) Only trouble now is establishing how to maintain a structure with all the computers involved. Thought it would make my life easier. Ha! BAD # 26 : R2-D2 ! I realise he had to be there to maintain some kind of Star Wars continuity, but some things about him is just weird. Like when he goes out on the ship to fix a broken wire, and should be commended for doing what it's programmed to do? And why does the real Queen clean him up? And how come he got in the fighter before Anakin did, how did he know? And why couldn't he take control of the ship when Anakin obviously didn't know what he was doing?

Tuesday, May 8th
"The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades!" Damn, that sun came out with a bang. I should be complaining since it means my allergies will work overtime per usual when the spring arrives. But I'm not because I'm just such a positive guy! BAD # 27 : What's a lasersword? I'll admit this, I got this one from a friend - the canon word for a Jedi's weapon is "lightsaber". That's what they've always said. Except in this one when Ani says "lasersword"? Might be a deliberate peice of dialogue to make Ani seem like a cute little kid, but it's still wrong!

Thursday, May 10th
Let there be light. And it was goood! Damn I feel good! Don't know if it's the sun, the beers I had last night, the babes who dress less and less for the summer time or what, but everything just feels great!! Perhaps it's the fact that I'm being bombed with all new computer games and stuff, right now I'm waiting for the Voyager Elite Force Addon pack that should come over tomorrow thanx to my great pal Warkus. But who can think of computer games on a day like this!? BAD # 28 : The space battle. Ok, it was nicely done, nice f/x and whatnot. But to have a battle like that, with all pilots and ships and stuff, won by a little brat in that way he did it! I can accept that Anakin was suppose to be a great pilot. But then he should have been a great pilot, not going all around the place "I'll try spinning, that always works" and "which button does what", not to mention that "it'll get us both killed"-comment. And he flies through the starbase's shields, in through the hanger, stops, turns around, fires a torpedo that knocks out the reactor and flies out again, all without knowing what tha hell he's doing... JUST BAD!!!! Damnit, I'm running out of bad things now, guess I'll just have to torture myself one more time and see it to come up with more...

Friday, May 11th
Did you know I don't wear a watch? I have a very nice Star Trek watch, bit don't wear it. I'm just such a strong believer in enjoying the moments that I think constantly being made aware of the time would decrease my capacity to do so. Just a bit of trivial info on me... Speaking of time, don't miss the Formula-1 race in Austria this weekend! BAD # 29 : Darth Maul's make-up. Again, totally over the top, too much!!

Friday, May 19th
Things are really messy at work right now so I haven't had much time to post an update. But here it is :)
And I really don't have time for another "What's Bad about Star Wars Episode I"!!!

Tuesday, May 29th
I'll give you two words and two number why I haven't been updating - Diablo II and Playstation2 !! And oh, I'm 26 this satuday. Jippi... :( I've not forgotten my list of bad/good things in Star Wars, just taken a time-out for gaming, that's all.

Thursday, June 7th
Ok, so I haven't been updating that much lately. But I have my reasons. First of all, Diablo II is addictive. That's a fact. You just can't stop playing, "I just have to reach the next level" and then the next and so on.
And on top of that my brother challenged my in Tekken Tag Tournamant so now I'm practicing my moves.
And also our company is pretty much going down the drain, so I've been feeling kinda of futile lately. And then the usual "I'm getting old" crap around my birthday didn't make me feel better. But now I think I'll be getting everything going again. Hope you, whoever reads this, can forgive me! And I'll admit it - I've run out of bad things to throw at "Star Wars - Episode 1". But I made it to 29 which was more than I thought. So now time for "GOOD things about Episode 1"! GOOD # 3 : The CGI f/x and enhancements. They are totally seamless, only by knowing what's possible to actually do live and not can you really tell what's CGI and not. Take a look at this pic of Senator/Emperor Palpatine's arrival at Naboo an you'll see just how much of that scene was actually there and how much wasn't!

Tuesday, June 12th
It's official, our company is going to merge with another company to form "Pulsen MinDator Integration" here in Stockholm and that means we have to move everything over there and redo all infrastructure and things like that. Big joy. Not! And I've just read about a David vs. Goliath fight going on over at Formula1.Com (great unofficial F1 site). Being a huge believer in freedom of bascially everything, I just have to throw in my support. And I'll do that in the form of that red little banner you can see here. Don't worry, it'll go away and it's not for any financial reason (I'd never throw in a banner only to make money, what do you take me for!?). GOOD # 4 : The landscapes. Most, if not all, of the landscapes were artificially created in computer land, but they were still beautiful. Like Theed, the Naboo capitol, really nice!

Friday, June 15th
We'll be doing all the moving next week and the week following that, so don't count on me doing many updates here.
But this weekend I've got a great schedule - I'll get off work today at 3 pm., I'll go home and DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! I have literally nothing to do this weekend! No plans at all! Fortunately, my good friend Marcus has equipped me with two new computer games to have some fun with this weekend, but other than that I'm just planning on enjoying the weather, which has been great here in sweden for the last couple of days! GOOD # 5 : "Dual of the fates". Ok, it might be combo of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" and Beethovens "Ode to joy", but so what, it still rocked the place and made the fight scene way better!

Tuesday, June 19th
Why do we normal mortals care so much about money? Money and currency is nothing but a man made, invented thing that doesn't have any real... dare I say value? I think it's pretty sad how we have more and more replaced human value with a financial value. Like last time I negotiated my salary, my boss said I was an "investment" for the company so they couldn't afford letting me go. He didn't care that I've worked here for over 5 years (longer than he has), know everyone and everything in this building, am extremely loyal and so on, oh no, I'm an "investment" and that's why I got a raise.
It's not fun to think about, but my entire life and existence, as far as our government is concerned, is collected in a few bytes on a computer located in the IRS holding the info "social security number", "income" and more importantly - "total income tax".
If I had enough energy I'd write another essay about it. But I won't since I'm just going around waiting for things to happen around my life. GOOD # 6 : In the middle of a heated, testosterone & adrenaline pumping fight with Darth Maul, Qui Gon Jinn is able to pause when the force field goes up, and cool down. I liked that.

Monday, June 25th
Did you know I don't own a scale? I refuse to let a little thing like that decide what I can or can't eat or how I should live. So I don't own one. Although whenever I "go home" (i.e to my parents in Lyngsta), atleast once a month, I jump on their's to make sure I'm still around 100 kg. And believe it or not, for the past 8 years I have never differed more than 5 kg. from 103 kg. I'm quite impressed by that considering how much junkfood I eat, cola I drink and all the exercise I never get! Anyway, pay day again which is always nice. But since I just bought my Playstation 2 it'll be a while until I can really enjoy having money left after every bill is payed :( But look at it from the bright side, Schumi won yesterday's Formula 1 race and this weekend is another race! I was mailed a suggestion for a "good" thing about "Star Wars Episode I" - it's about to be released on DVD (mid-October). Since the movie was out in May 1999 it should already be out on DVD (more than 2 years for a DVD release is way too long, keeping in Lucas' tradition), so I was actually thinking about using it as a bad thing!! GOOD # 7 : My nephews liked it alot. Which is good since if SW hadn't appealed to kids, I'd never gotten interested in the originals!

Thursday, July 5th
Hey people! Sorry I've been so out of touch lately.
To summarize the past 7 days - on wednesday (June 27th) I was out of a job since our company was going to merge with another big company, and my services was no longer needed. And the only other job I was qualified for demanded a drivers license, something I've never bothered about. And for non-swedes - getting a drivers license here in sweden is no picknick. It ain't easy or cheap!
But the new boss realised it would cost them alot to let me go, so instead they will pay my drivers ed., which here is between $1000 to $1500 depending on how much training you need. So I'm in the middle of doing all of that.
And I also have to check in little here and there to our two new offices, then a friend of the family died ... and well, that's enough to make a good week dark. Then the Diablo II Expansion Pack was released. And I also had to attend a 4th July celebration we have here every year for our american friends, Bill & Debbie Deegan. And to round the week off, we (as in NP.com) was threatened with a lawsuit for illegaly using some images. All in all, a pretty busy week.... GOOD # 8 : The droid-deployment. I may bash the droids alot, but the deployment of hundreds of droids was quite nicely done!

Sunday, July 22nd
I've spent the past week doing normal miscellaneous stuff like going to dinners with my american friends Bill & Debbie, studying my ass off for my license, watching movies, enjoying the weather and just relaxing before I start working at SAS tomorrow (Monday). The most interesting thing I've done last week was the so called "skid-training", which is a required 4 hour course to get a license in sweden. The point is basically to learn how difficult it is to drive on slippery surfaces. And to fear and respect the road and know your own limitations. It was really worth the 4 hours trying to avoid osbtacles at 60 KPH ending up in an uncontrolled spin :) GOOD # 10 : Samuel Jackson was in it. 'Nough said.

Tuesday, July 31st
Ok, so why have I been so quiet ? I'll tell you why - new homepage in the works.
And this one big and nicely designed too! It's gonna be called "Natalie Portman Special Edition" and will be on www.np-se.com . (yeah, npse.com was taken!) It will launch in the weekend. Everything is set I'm just filling it with content now, till then, please be patient. The site will primarily be for European and especially swedish visitors, but it'll be in english so everyone is welcomed.
As usual, any corrections, additions and submidssions are also encouraged. And I'm SO sorry, I'm all out of good things about Star Wars Episode One... I'll give it a few days, then call it a day.
(Retrospect-update : This site never launched. Instead I used the design on NataliePortman.com)

Monday, August 27th
Ok, I'm really sorry I haven't been updating lately. The new design for NataliePortman.com was pretty easy to do, but redoing the entire site to fit the new design, as well as adding all new stuff, took longer (and more of my time) than expected.
And add to that a theory test for my drivers license and you get a very busy man. (just so you know, I passed)
But situation normal, everything under control. Just keep on living your life, I'm still alive!

Friday, August 31st
I finally got the Moby DVD. Freaking awesome! His scottish accent is just grrrreat! And a very good mega-mix as well. Highly recommended!
Anyways, this weekend I'm keeping myself busy with F1 (Belgium this time around), visit to Ösmo (you know that little community in the middle of nowhere?) and a housewarming party as well. But after that, it's back to my usual routine of ... well, living.
I also have some great pics of the cast of the new Star Trek series, so I guess I'll just have to add an Enterprise section to my Star Trek archive. Have fun everyone!

Sunday, September 2nd
Ok, I'm in the middle of nowhere (Lyngsta), with a crappy computer, I'm hung over, the F1 race is about to start but still I found time to keep my promise about putting up a new Star Trek section for the new show Enterprise (Update: Now removed).
Enjoy!

Friday, September 14th
I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for so many things.
I'm so sorry for not being able to avoid what everyone has been talking about in the past days.
I'm sorry for not having updated this page this week. I've obviously had other things on my mind.
I'm sorry for thinking in so small and limited ways. Everything seems so irrelevant after a week like this.
I'm sorry, so very sorry, for everyone who's been affected by this by having a loved one abruptly taken away from them.
I'm sorry for everyone who got slaughtered for apparently no reason what so ever.
I'm sorry for the woman who was on CNN today talking about her missing husband, father of one and another one coming because she was two months pregnant.
I'm sorry for the man I saw yesterday on CNN who's father, who'd worked as a window cleaner since the building was built, and he was now missing.
I'm sorry for not having a good quote so summon things up with.

Or perhaps I do:
"I just woke up to the sound of an explosion and people screaming. So I ran to my roof to see both buildings of the World Trade Center on fire and now I can't stop shaking and my apartment smells like smoke.
What has happened. I don't know what to say.
What has happened? Oh god."
- Moby, September 11th 2001, NYC There are those terrible things you'll always remember what, when, where and how you heard the news first - when Olof Palme was shot (I was eleven at the time, waking up after a "late night" at the movies with my parents in Örebro), when Lady Diana died (I woke up in the middle of the night for no apparent reason until I turned on the radio) and then this. And I don't even wanna compare those awful events. And while I'm venting opinions.... going to war is just about the worst idea I can think of at a time like this. When still looking for survivors, when rebuilding, when trying to get things back to... "normal". To go to war now does not, to me, sound like a good idea.
"Yeah, but you're not american!" you're probably saying, and you'd be right. I'm not. I'm objective. I'm neutral. Naturally it was a fucked up thing to do, but what good can come from going to war with these people? You might kill a few of them, but as everyone who's studied warfare like this knows, you can't kill an idea. By killing people you might even enforce the belief that USA is the devil. So for what it's worth - wait, finish the rescue efforts, do damage control, rebuild, get things going again and after that, when all the heated emotions have passed think what you are going to do. Remember, this problem occured because USA tried policing the world. And although I appreciate their efforts, these people don't. So starting another war in the middle east again will not make them like USA at all. And as I'm reading this again... I'm sorry for turning it into a political thing. If this is any consolation - my thoughts and my prayers... yes, my prayers, are with everyone who's ...... no, with everyone. /Kris

Tuesday, September 25th
Time to get a life going again I guess. And I'll start this weekend with another annual Beer festival party. So count on some good pictures of less than sober Kris :) Also, this weekend - the US Grand Prix in Indy. Add a monthly paycheck with was about $200 more than I expected and you got a good recipe for a great weekend!

Friday, October 5th
So why hasn't Kris updated this page? Well, actually I had, I just misplaces the file. Sorry about that, it's like trying to remember your own phonenumber! You never dial yourself, and I never check out my own webpage! Anyways, all is good, still hoping for peace in the universe and better understanding for all mankind and all of that! Someone signed my guestbook without leaving their e-mail so I'll reply here - yes, I will update the Voyager reviews when I get some time to spare. They take about 20 minutes to convert from e-mail to HTML versions! And since SVT skipped the hiatus between 4th and 5th season, I don't think I'm that far behind! But good idea about those Enterprise reviews I have, I could even post them in english - as they were meant to be posted :) Have a great weekend guys and girls!

Saturday, October 20th
"Dude, you suck at updating!"
I know. I've been waiting for the "Star Wars The Phantom Menace" DVD so I can really trash it one more time. And I think I can BECAUSE IT STILL HASN'T ARRIVED! It was sent last monday by Play247, still nothing! Did they include some white powder in the envelope or what's up with that? Anyway, I'm hard at work converting the newest Voyager reviews to HTML style. Also planning to do some things with the Enterprise reviews I've done. Hope you all are having a better weekend then I'm having!

Sunday, October 21st
I've updated my Voyager reviews so they are up-to-date to "Latent Image" (although they're still in swedish). I'll see what I can do with the Enterprise reviews.

Monday, November 12th
I had done an update here, but it seems to be totally gone!? Put that in the bag of not-so-good-things that have happened in the last week. We can put Lucasfilms in the same bag - they released a real trailer, Mystery, exclusively on the DVD site. To get it, you have to own the DVD ($30), register Quciktime player ($30), use the InterActual web-skin for MSIE (Mac-people are happy about this!) and have a pretty fast connection to download the 15 MB trailer. So far no prob for me. But when they force Kiosk mode I get mad! In kiosk mode it's (almost) impossible to save, and harder to take screenshots of anything. All in the name of copyright!
If you know me, I say "screw that!" and fixed it anyway. Just go to NP.com and download the quicktime file. But as always with me there is a bigger bag of good things! The trailer itself rocked! Damn, Natalie looks good!
And I finally got my drivers license last week. It's so damn expensive (I landed on $1500) in sweden that it took my company forcing me to do it and pick up the bill, but now I have it!
And this morning, as I was sitting on my usual spot on my usual train to work, out of the blue comes a 10-point absolutely GORGEOUS woman and sits down. The kind that should be too good looking to ride on the train, the kind that disables your vocal cords and leaves you sitting there looking like a geek! (which ofcourse I am, right after I got to work I ordered another computer, my "old" one is too old for me) So remember - always look on the bright side of life!

Wednesday, November 14th
Do you hate being sick as much as I do? I'm the proud kind of person who won't let a little thing like a little soar throat stop me from working. So I went to work on tuesday as usual. But today I just couldn't get out of bed. And calling in sick wasn't an option since I couldn't even speak, my throat was so bad. How can small little guys like germs or whatever knock out a guy like me?! But as usual with me, there is a bright side to it all : I got to clean up my apartment a little, finish my game of Civ3 (that game is even more addictive that Diablo II!) and then at about 4 when I checked my mail I found a letter from Mia ! "Who's Mia?" you might say? Then you haven't read my bio! Mia is a girl I went to school with for 9 years! And when I was like 7 or 8 I had a little crush on her. She is one of those petite energic girls that just lits up a room. Anyway, she let me in on how the "pink ladies" are doing (very internal joke!). She's now living in Norway. Anyway, really nice to hear from her, haven't heard anything from her in... 8 years I think...

Thursday, November 15th
I don't know how many of you are Trekkers, but even if you aren't, you might remember a "The Next Generation" character by the name of 'Wesley Crusher' ? He was "only" in the show for three or four years, and most of us (trekkers) disliked him. Alot! Anyway, the guy who played him was Wil Wheaton. Never really thought much of him either, until I checked out his website. He runs his own PHP based website! Nice to see that actors can actually recognize the benefits of doing that, as oppose to a certain "strict-no-to-Internet-policy" lady, no names but here's the link (I think that might be her only flaw?). Anyway, just because he does his own website doesn't mean much... until you start reading, and the guy is hilarious! His comments about Linda Park & Jolene Blalock, not to mention Ashley Judd! L-O-L !! Check it out yourself , it's really worth it!

Tuesday, November 20th
Last week I promised myself I'd get better at this update thing and write atleast something three times a week. How is that going? TERRIBLE! And I have a pretty good excuse - they took away my computer! Seriously, I had one of those home PC's from my old job and now, 6 months later, they all of a sudden wanted it back. I've picked together a damn good machine to have at home but I haven't gotten all the parts yet (still waiting for CPU and motherboard). So as it is right now I'm pretty limited in what I can do.
So all my e-mail buddies who haven't heard anything in awhile - now you know why! I'll probably dust off my old PII-400 MHz and try to adapt. But damnit, I want my new P4-1.5MHz-s478 with 512 MB RAMBUS memory now so I can rule the cyberworld. Or whatever...

Friday, November 30th
Hey. Still alive. This week I've been pinballing to and from clients fixing computers problems where necessary. So no time for web update. And tonight I'm finally gonna have time to get a little overly-drunk with Jonas. So if you're in Upplands-Väsby tonight, watch out! And speaking of getting drunk - why are good old stories about getting way too drunk so funny? I mean, drinking so much you make a fool of yourself is pretty bad, but then talking about it again and again, why tha hell do we do that?!

Friday, December 7th
Finally! After 11 months of counting, Christmas is finally upon us! And I'm just realising, most people around me don't like Christmas?
Why not? And more importanly - why do I love it!? Another one of those "I'm so immature!"-things or what is it? Wish I could give you an answer, but I can't.

Thursday, December 13th
Now I'm pissed. There must be some God somewhere who has it in for me. This last week has been total crap. The thing that almost made me snap was today when I relaxed in my couch getting ready to watch a DVD.... and nothing. My DVD player is busted, somehow. Worked fine yesterday, but now it's gone. Dead. And still no CPU for my new computer. And my internet connection is still sucky, at best. But you know - always look on the bright side: The place I'm working at right now is so filled with great women it's almost overloading my sensors! But still, can't wait for this year (which was suppose to be fun) to end, which it will in three weeks. Yeay.

Friday, December 14th
Still no damn CPU. It's laying in a little parcel in the postal office, I just can't get to it. Until monday. That's pretty frustrating! But again - bright side of today is that "Mad About You" started showing again on swedish TV ("ZTV"). Although I'm single and never had a relationship last longer than a month, I still find that show hilarious! And Helen Hunt is pretty beautiful. 10 days to go....

Friday, December 21st
I've finally got my new computer up and running. Only problem is it seems to be too good! Seriously, I can't get Windows98 to work? Only XP seems to work on this damn thing. Fortunately, I like XP so it's not a major problem, but still a weird thing.
So with this new ultrafast computer I've finally got started on the Swedish Natalie Portman SIte. It's very much in the works and I think I'll have a full version up sometime in January, just in time for the Star Wars PR machine! I was out Christmas shopping today, and I just got another "Signs That You're Getting Old" - when the toystore that seemed so huge all of a sudden seems so much smaller, you're old. 3 more days....

Sunday, December 23rd
This is appropriate - I'm writing this at 0:40 am on the day before Christmas.
This is a little bed-time story for you all:
Some of you might have read this page two years ago when I was really pissed off at Finland for taking some of the best things - the World Championship in hockey and the Drivers Championship in F1 and a certain woman who dumped sweden to go and work for some finnish radio station. Well, I've got an update for you on that - I'm over the hockey loss, Shumacher won two F1 championships in a row and the woman is back on swedish radio! Seriously, I was laying in bed with my radio on as usual. And 3 minutes past midnight the normal midnight show starts and I hear this very familiar voice again. Somehow that made me feel very good. By the way, I'm going offline for an extended period tomorrow morning. I'm going back to my parents to spend Christmas there. Don't know why, but that's a very comfortable thing to do. No matter how shitty the world might be, I can still spend Christmas with my folks and enjoy my mother's extremely good tasting dinners! HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Wednesday, December 26th
So that's one Christmas over and done with. Only 361 or something until the next one! (some people find me annoying when I count the days till Christmas!) Hope everyone got something they other wanted, needed or could atleast use? Know I did! One bad thing about having this many days off from work is that I totally loose track of what day it is! Well, anyway, happy new year!

Sunday, December 30th
I went on a date yesterday. Haven't done that in a while (June I think!), fortunately they haven't changed much about dating. But I won't get into too many details 'cause she's watching this page :) But it looks like I, for third time in a row, will spend New Years Eve in the company of a nice woman. Anyway, I was flipping through channels today (like I always do) and saw a video by this girl 'Shakira'. Song was called "Whenever, Where ever". At first I thought "oh no, not another Spears / Aguilera / Jessica Simpson / Billy clone. But I liked the music, and the rythm. And the video, nice hip-movements there girl. And then one part of the lyric just made me bend over and laugh my ass of :
"Lucky that my breasts are small and humble - So you don't confuse them with mountains." Yeah, baby, me like! (meaning I like the lyric, I don't have any preferences in breast-size whatsoever. And for those of you saying "yeah, right!" - I just declined an offer to do the official Anna Nicole Smith website!)
( ofcourse that decision was based on totally different criterias, one of which is "time", I'm still trying to get the Swedish Natalie Portman Site finished! ) I'll try to get an update up tomorrow before I leave for the dinner, but for those down in Australia (or thereabouts) - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Monday, December 31st
One last quick update - HAPPY NEW YEAR ! Btw, those of you wondering about me wishing "those down in Australie (or thereabouts)" a happy new year yesterday - I remember the new year 99-00, I had just gotten out of bed and turned on the TV and saw them celebrating the new year down there a full 9 hours ahead of us! That's why I wished them a happy new year since I knew I wouldn't be able to do an update before 3 p.m today. Anyway, I'm out of here!
