Voyager har äran att bevittna en vacker kosmologisk händelse - en supernova ! Och när den vackra synen är slut kommer nästa lika hemska syn - Q ! Han har förvrängt hela Janeways rum till något som liknar en bordell, och han gör allt för att få henne i säng! Fast egentligen vill han att hon skall bli modern till hans unge!
Tillslut lyckas hon skälla iväg honom, men han är ju Q så han ger sig inte. Han kommer förbi dagen efter och försöker jävlas men får inget svar den gången heller. Han försöker snacka med Kim, Paris och Neelix hur han skall få omkull henne, men dom vill ju knappast hjälpa honom.
Han försöker än en gång att vinna hennes hjärta, denna gång med en hundvalp, men ingen lycka då inte. Så han ger henne lite skitsnack om att vilja binda sig, men ingen lycka. Så då kör han "vakna upp!"-tal om att hennes klocka tickar och hon är en bra bit från sin Mark.
Och helt plötsligt kommer en till Q in - en kvinnlig sådan, som visar sig vara Qs fruga!

Naturligtvis är hon lite sotis över att han vill ha Janeway, men innan det hettar till, som det kan göra med Qs, anropar Chakotay. Dom har
precis sprungit på ett par supernover till, något som är mer osannolikt än att Stoff får en date tills imorron!
Tyvärr så krockar Voyager med shockvågerna från alla supernovas, och precis innan dom träffar Voyager drar han iväg med Janeway till ...
ett 1800-tals amerikansk herrgård.
Q1 har nu tagit henne till en representation av Q kontinuum. Utanför huset är det ett inbördeskrig inom Q. Detta tack vare Janeways beslut
att låta Quinn [från "Deathwish"] begå självmord. Q kämpar på "nord" sidan, den sidan som kämpar för förändring inom Q. Det är detta som orsakar alla supernover. Han vill skapa en ny art av Q, genom att få ett barn med Janeway och därmed introducera ny DNA och nya idéer. Tyvärr blir dom beskjutna, Q skadas och dom tvingas fly till första bästa nord-Q tillhåll.
På Voyager har dom totalt kaos eftersom halv skeppet är skadat. Och Q2 är kvar, och kan inte trolla längre. Hon ger samma story till dom som Q1 gav, och dom gör upp en (desperat) plan på att ta sig till Q kontinuum genom att åka in i en supernova. Efter lite samarbetsproblem sätter dom sin plan till verket och letar upp en till supernova.
Janeway ger Q1 ett litet tal om att det krävs mer än DNA för att skapa fred, det krävs nya idéer och tankar, så han kan lika väl sätta på Q2. Så med vit flagga i hand går hon till närmsta syd-Q läger och träffar generalen där och försöker snacka med honom.
Men icke, dom vill döda Q1 och det nu. Och dom har redan tillfångatagit honom, och nu när Janeway är här får hon stryka med.
Och just när dom laddar gevär för att döda dom... ja då kommer Voyager besättningen och räddar dagen, på Nord-Qs sida såklart.
Så Q1 och Q2 bestämmer sig att det kanske inte var en så dum idé så dom petar på varandra och vips så är hon gravid.

Så trollas dom tillbaks till Voyager där Janeway inte ens hinner gå in i sitt ready-room innan Q är tebax.

"I though, what would happen if there was a war in the Q continuum? It would have all sorts of disastrous implications for the space that we are flying through. We started to refer to it as the Q civil war... In a previous episode Q took everybody to the Continuum and [showed] it to them in a way that their puny little minds could comprehend. It suddenly occured to me that if Q was trying to make Janeway understand that the Q were having a civil war, he would allow her to perceive it in a way that she would have som cultural contect to place it in, like the American Civil War.

Q in fact does dangle that prospect in front of her, and says 'If you mate with me, you can come live in the Continuum and you can send your crew home'. Janeway responds that he's tempted her with that prospect before, and that he's basically untrustworthy. If Q were to send us home, would it really be Earth? Where would it be and what would it be? She was not willing to compromise her principles, and acquisce to Q, because he has never proved trustworthy. [..] Why didn't he reward her at the end? Because she turned down his offer. For the Q, we're just sort of an insignificant little blip on the radar, and I don't think they really care wether we get home or not."

"Antiproton" är en trekno grej som hängt med sen TOS tiden ("Doomsday Machine"), nämdes i TNG:"Silicon Avatar", DS9:"Defiant", VOY:"Threshold" och så en gång i "First Contact".

Suzie Plakson som här spelar "Female Q" känner dom flesta igen, hon har tidigare spelat med i TNG som K'Ehleyr men har även spelat
Enterprise-Ds mest efterlysta läkare, Dr. Selar.
Qs citat, "The crew of the intrepid starship Voyager" (sv. översättning: "Besättningen på det orädda stjärnskeppet Voyager"), har
en speciell twist - Voyager är av Intrepid-class.
Scenen där Q försöker säga "at first it was fun galavanting around the universe..." sjabblade han upp så många gånger att dom tom var tvugna att använda vanliga Hollywood tricket - tvillingar (Donahues).

Neelix: "All I can say is....WOW! What about you Mr Vulcan, isn't that just .... WOW!"
Tuvok: "Your inarticulate expression of awe not withstanding it was a fascinating spectacle."

Janeway: "Janeway to security. Intruder alert."
Q: "There's no need to call roomservice, Kathy. I've already ordered."

Q: "To us!"
Janeway: "There is no 'us', Q."
Q: "The night is young. And the sheets are... satin."

Q: "I know that you're probably asking yourself: Why would a brilliant, handsome, dashing omnipotent being like Q want to mate
with a scrawny little bipedal specimen like me?"
Janeway: "Let me guess: No one else in the universe will have you?"
Q: "Nonsense!"

Q: "Oh, I see. This is one of those silly human rituals. You're playing hard to get!"
Janeway: "As far as you're concerned... I'm impossible to get."
Q: "Goodie! A challenge."

Janeway: "Right now, the only thing that interests me is the safety of my crew."
Q: "Well, I'm sure your first officer... Chuckles is it?"

Female Q: "I hope you're not comparing some failed romance in your pittifull existens to my eternal association with Q?"
Torres: "I have REALLY had it with this superiority complex of yours."
Female Q: "It's not a complex dear, it's a fact."
